I *heart* CVS
Written by admin in Wednesday, April 15th 2009
I have to say that I absolutely love CVS. Why? 3 words... Extra Care Bucks.
If you don't know what Extra Care Bucks are, you're missing out. It's CVS' rewards program and it's absolutely wonderful. You purchase items from CVS that are advertised that you receive ECB's for. You purchase the item. You earn ECB's. At first, you're going to have to start out with some Out of Pocket Expense, but I am living proof that [+]
The Coupon Game…Saving Money? Or is it?
Written by admin in Monday, April 6th 2009
It has come to my attention, after speaking to several moms and reading some blogs that some people do not "coupon correctly". What am I talking about? I'm talking about spending money unnecessarily because "well, I have a coupon for that!" Is this you? I know it was me at one time! "But I saved $13 at the grocery store this week! Of course, I spent about $30 more on items that I didn't need..." [+]
Beware of Credit Card Offers
Written by admin in Thursday, April 2nd 2009
Today’s society relies so heavily on credit and debt to function it’s almost comical. My great-grandparents didn't have a credit card and neither did my grandparents. Only when they were forced to get some sort of plastic, did they. And they did just fine. For decades. I have personally opted out of receiving credit card offers, but I know plenty of people who haven’t. And they receive dozens of these offers on a weekly or monthly basis. [+]

Where to “find” money around the house – realistic ways. PROVEN WAYS!
Installment 4
Lunch Money!
The boys pack a lunch 3 days a week. He gets a sandwich, a fruit, a juice, and chips or organic fruit snack. And every day he brings nothing back. When he eats lunch at school, he wastes over half of it. Cost of lunch at school? $1.75. Packing lunch? $1.07. And he eats it all! I only make him buy lunch [+]

Where to “find” money around the house – realistic ways. PROVEN WAYS!
Installment 3
Gas money!
Gas costs are down. *shew* But that doesn’t mean that you’re really saving a bunch of money. How do you save even more on gas? Easy! Here are some ways that I have taken my personal gas consumption from $50 - $60 per week (based on $2.09 per gallon – I have to use 93 octane in my car) to $35/week. NOTE [+]
Where to find money – Water

Where to “find” money around the house – realistic ways. PROVEN WAYS!
Installment 2
Water
The next place that I “found” money around the house was in the water bill. We ran the dishwasher 7 days a week. It’s not a fancy “done in 8 minutes” one either. It’s probably just like the one you have – noisy and takes about 45 minutes and still doesn’t get all of the dishes clean!
So I did an experiment. I [+]

Where to “find” money around the house – realistic ways. PROVEN WAYS!
Installment 1
I figured that I would start a series of posts to help people who just aren't sure where to get more money from without getting a second job. Now, these hints aren't going to make you an extra income, but you'll be surprised - insanely surprised - at how much money you have at the end of the month. I know I was!

$0 Budget – Our Experience – So far!
Written by admin in Thursday, March 26th 2009
I posted about the $0 budget and began thinking about it. I began thinking "wow. It was daunting when we started it. I think I'll share our experience to make it more attainable." So, here's our experience - and it's ongoing I might add - BUT wildly successful and we LOVE it.
We used to always be looking at the account saying "where is all of our money going? This is insane!" So when we l-started the [+]Recently in Budgeting
